When you are scheduling and editing, you can ‘flip’ a song card, choose not to schedule it when it comes up in the schedule with rule violations. You’re just choosing not to play it this time aroound. There is another kind of flip. The Category flip is used for a quick-fix when the category rotation pattern needs adjusting and you don’t want to alter the number of tracks within the category.
